Some perfect summer weather is here just in time for the peak of the beach, boating and vacation season!
The long holiday weekend will get off to a great start as high pressure builds in for Friday.
With low humidity levels, light winds and near full sunshine, temperatures top off in the lower to middle 80s. The UV index will be off the charts with the dry air in place so cover up!
Saturday the fourth will feature a lot less sunshine as clouds increase. Some of the data even tries to bring in a period of showers or rain during the day as energy in the atmosphere moves through.
At this point, any sprinkles or showers that do fall should end by evening. The Star Spangled Springfield fireworks display Saturday night should then
be dry and comfortable with temperatures falling from near 70 at 6 p.m. to the middle 60s by 10 p.m.
On Sunday, it's back to sunshine (mixing with clouds) as temperatures reach into the middle 80s!
