Saturday rain looks light, Sunday shines

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

After some possible filtered morning sun, clouds increase and any sun fades during the day Saturday.

There's still a chance for a few afternoon showers as weak energy in the atmosphere tracks through though some data still keeps us completely dry.

Any showers that do fall will be light and mainly during the afternoon.  Raindrops should be done by nightfall and fireworks time
Saturday evening.

Evening temperatures fall from near 70 early into the lower 60s by midnight with some patchy fog possible.

Sunday is by far the better of the two days this weekend.  Morning sunshine with mix with afternoon clouds.  It turns much warmer Sunday
too.

After Saturday’s cool lower 70s for highs, Sunday sees readings well up into the 80s!

So while Sunday is the better beach day, Saturday should end up mostly dry for the all the festivities on the fourth!
