It stays warm and muggy for most of the afternoon but it also stays mainly dry as downpours and thunderstorms develop mainly to our south and east. The storm chances will decrease by mid afternoon as a cold front sags south. The focal point for storms later this afternoon and evening will be focused across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. It will become slightly less humid as we head into the second half of the afternoon and evening. In fact, it will be rather pleasant later on as dew points fall into the lower 60s.
This front will stall to our south overnight. So although it will turn a bit less muggy we will not completely dry out. In fact, the front will bring more clouds at us tomorrow, along with a shower or too. A wave of low pressure will ride along the front late tomorrow, bringing us some showers and downpour or even a period of heavy rain.
This wave of low pressure will move away tomorrow night and will drag down drier air for Friday with sunny, warm conditions. The sunshine and warm weather will stay with us through the weekend. The humidity will slowly build in over the weekend as well leading to a late day storm on Sunday. It should be a great weekend to head to the beach!
