Clouds will continue to thicken up this afternoon however we should stay dry most of the day. There may be a sprinkle or two but for the most part we're not expecting much. If you have outdoor plans there should be no problems. However, rain will move in this evening with downpours and a few embedded thunderstorms.
The cool front that moved through yesterday has stalled to our south and now an of low pressure will ride along this front bring some heavy rain into southern New England.
Rain will be heavy at times with some embedded thunderstorms. We are not expecting any severe weather however the heavy rain could lead to some some street flooding. In fact, A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for Hampden and Berkshire Counties for this evening through the wee hours of the morning.
This wave of low pressure will zip out by morning so the rain will be gone before your Friday morning commute. Behind this area of low pressure a drier air mass will move in. This means clouds will quickly give way to sunny, warm conditions. The sunshine and warm weather will stay with us through the weekend. The humidity will build in slightly on Sunday but it's looking as though we stay rain free. It should be a great weekend for all outdoor events.
