Rain moving in Thursday evening will start to become heavy at times.
In fact, some embedded thunder and lightning will be found in some of the heavier showers. Rain will last into the pre-dawn hours before rapidly tapering off to showers and ending.
Most will see between ½” and 1” of rainfall which will be enough in that short order of time to cause some minor street and poor drainage flooding – primarily in urban areas.
Now the good news. Early morning clouds Friday give way to beautiful, warm sunshine during the day. Humidity levels will come down again too as a breeze from the northwest picks up.
Over the weekend, temperatures really start to cook! Under partly to mostly sunny skies both days, highs will be up near 90 degrees. Humidity levels will start to creep up again by Sunday too.
We may be near 90 for highs on Monday as well which means the first heat wave of the season is possible for us here in the Pioneer Valley!
