SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - High pressure sliding across northern New England will maintain the comfortable levels of humidity with a northeast wind flow today. It's a sunny start, but a cloudy finish as a warm front approaches from the west. This front will turn our wind more southeasterly late in the day. So, a light sea breeze along southern New England beaches. There is the slight chance of a shower this afternoon into this evening. Highs today will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
The warm front will move through tonight with the chance for showers and possibly a thunderstorm as well as increasing humidity. You will notice the more humid conditions on Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs tomorrow once again top out in the lower 80s.
Monday may bring another isolated shower or storm before dry weather settles in Tuesday but the heat will be on. In fact we could be talking about a heat wave Tuesday-Thursday with highs approaching the mid 90s before a cold front comes through late Thursday and brings with it some showers and thunderstorms.
