We are learning more about the father and daughter found dead inside their Pittsfield apartment Monday afternoon.
Anthony Nazareth, 47, and his 11-year-old daughter, Hannah, had only lived in their Plunkett Street residence for six months.
Grief counselors were on-hand at her elementary school Wednesday.
Friends of Hannah Nazareth have been visiting all morning, leaving flowers for their friend. They all describe her as an energetic, happy girl that had a bright future ahead.
Morningside Community School graduation was the last time 10-year-old Marina Karampasis spoke to her friend, Hannah. They were excited at the thought of starting middle school together in just a few months.
"Graduation...we sat next to each other, talking about how we couldn't wait to see each other next year," said Karampasis.
However, that was all cut short, much too soon. Hannah was found dead along with her father on Monday inside their home.
Investigators have yet to determine a cause of death.
Pittsfield school officials have begun holding grief counseling sessions for students and families throughout this week.
Superintendent Jason McCandless explained that although Hannah only joined the school system in October, the loss of a bright young girl affects the entire community.
School officials will offer more services for students again when school starts.
Hannah was set to begin middle school next month along with best friends.
"The only reason I wanted to go to Herberg was...for Hannah," Karampasis added.
