SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - In western Massachusetts this weekend, our weather generally looks dry and pleasant.
We will see a bright start to our Saturday but some clouds will mix in as we go into the afternoon. The day is going to remain dry though so if you have outdoor plans you will be just fine. A warm afternoon is on tap with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Skies remain partly cloudy tonight and there is the slight chance of a light shower or sprinkle. Lows tonight fall back into the low to mid 50s.
Sunday's forecast has been tweaked a bit based on the latest data bringing in some weak energy with a cool pool of air over us. The result: Clouds will build up during the day and lead to a few pop-up showers and possibly an isolated thunderstorm. The hill country will have the best chance for those scattered afternoon showers.
Our next chance for any sort of significant shower and thunderstorm activity continues to be on Tuesday of next week.
