A couple of weather fronts each brought a round of rain Tuesday.
The morning warm front opened the door to tropical humidity with dew point temperatures reaching above 70 during the afternoon and downpours totaled between 1 and 1 1/2 inches of rain between wake up and the lunch hour.
Another round of rain arrived for the evening dinner bell ahead of an approaching cold front. Most totaling under a half inch. Totals of 1 to 2 inches were most common for the entire day.
Now high pressure will return with more comfortable air and a clearing sky. Great news for the Perseid meteor showers that peak early Wednesday morning! Look to the northeast towards bright star Capella and the constellation Perseus.
The later at night the better when 30- 60 meteors per hour are possible.
