Springfield Police tell Western Mass News that just before 3 in the morning a report was made by someone who was assaulted and robbed. The victim called police from the parking lot of a Pride Station on West Street in Springfield.

Police in West Springfield were notified by Springfield Police to be on the look out for a gold Nissan Murano with Connecticut plates. Officers located the vehicle within 2 minutes.

The vehicle then fled on I-91 Southbound into Connecticut. Police say several items were thrown onto the highway during the pursuit. Weapons were found in the vehicle.

West Springfield Police Sgt. Edmund Apostle says the suspects got into a car accident in Enfield, Connecticut which is how the chase ended.

Two male suspects were arrested.

According to our Media Partners Masslive, speeds reached over 90 mph during the chase.

The two suspects will be arraigned in Connecticut court on Monday.
