AGAWAM, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

25 stylists volunteered their time Sunday at Six Flags New England to give guests a "Fun in the Sun" makeover.

It's for the Second Annual Cut-A-Thon for Charity. The event took place at the Splashwater Falls from 11:30am to 5:30pm.

The stylists, from DiGrigoli Salon in West Springfield, gave haircuts for just $10.

All proceeds benefited the YMCA of Greater Springfield and the DiGrigoli Scholarship Foundation.

"She was all about it. She's starting school soon so she needs a new style. She's all excited to help out other children from the area. We actually didn't even have to encourage her, she wanted to do it," said Christina Hooper.

Christina's daughter, Ashley, cut off more than 8 inches today.

She says she's happy to lend a helping hand to others in need.
