Tuesday declared 'First Warning Weather Day'

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Because strong to possibly severe storms are in the forecast Tuesday, it's a First Warning Weather Day here at Western Mass News and it's our commitment to keep you updated with even more weather information to help you plan your day.

A strong cold front will slowly move through Tuesday afternoon. Storms will develop ahead of and along this front.

Some may become severe with damaging wind and torrential downpours likely causing some street flooding. This front will push eastward in the early evening and storms will diminish.

As we gradually clear late night, a westerly breeze will deliver much more comfortable air Wednesday through Friday as high pressure settles in with refreshing air.
