SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - You'll want to think about dressing the kids for mid-summer than early autumn next week. High pressure strengthens over much of the U.S. and with the upper pattern shifting north, heat will build as we go into next week.
Partly cloudy and not as cool tonight with lows in the mid to upper 50s. Sunday features more in the way of clouds but it will be warm and slightly more humid as dew points creep into thelower 60s. Highs tomorrow top out in the low to mid 80s.
There is just the slight chance for a isolated shower tomorrow afternoon but most stay dry.
Next week will feature several dry days with highs near or above 90. A cold front may bring some relief Thursday or Friday with a slight cool down and some showers or thunderstorms. Enjoy summer's last hurrah! We are losing 3 minutes of daylight each day now.
