A popular Springfield restaurant is saying one last farewell to its customers.
A Touch of Garlic closed its door Saturday night.
The Italian restaurant has been a staple in the Springfield community for 22 years.
The owners say that although they're sad to close, It's hard to balance family with a full-time business.
"I feel bad. I hope they get someone to buy it. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere, the ambiance and all is wonderful," said Lou Massoia.
"It's very emotional. Very bittersweet. We've had such love expressed from customers over the past month once we made the announcement," said owner Kara Rescia.
Rescia says she hopes the traditions they've created will carry on.
She says there is someone who is interested in buying the business and is 100% committed to keeping it as "A Touch of Garlic."
