On Sunday, more than 250 people laced up their shoes in an effort to raise money for the Gandara Center's Family Fund.
Members of the recovery community walked alongside staff to help bust the stigma around substance abuse and mental health.
"This really enhances what we do and all of our programs for kids and families and people with addiction. That's the purpose of the run to be able to create a cushion for us to help the community," said Henry East-Trou, Executive Director of The Gandara Center.
The Gandara Center provides residential, mental health, substance abuse and preventable services to children, adults, and families across the valley.
The center helps more than 11,000 people every year.
