SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The calendar may say that it is late August but it is going to start to feel like mid July as high pressure off the coast and the jet stream lifting to the north brings in hot and more humid conditions for much of this week.
A partly cloudy, mild and muggy night on the way tonight with lows falling back into the lower 60s. There could be some patchy fog as we head toward dawn tomorrow. Any morning fog will quickly lift out tomorrow morning and we can expect a mostly sunny, very warm and humid afternoon Monday afternoon with temperatures rising in the upper 80s. Not out of the question that one or two locations touch 90 tomorrow afternoon
Heat and humidity builds in as we start the new work week with temperatures approaching the lower 90s by mid week with dew points in the mid 60s. There is the chance for afternoon shower as we head toward the end of the week.
