SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The summer like temperatures we experienced much of last week are gone and more seasonable air is moving in and that will stick around for much of this week thanks to a big ridge of high pressure. That means seasonable days and cool night for much of this week
A cold front moving through the region this morning is bringing clouds and a few light sprinkles or showers. Skies will become mostly sunny during the afternoon with low humidity, cooler temperatures and a nice breeze. Highs today top out in the lower 70s. Skies will remain clear tonight and a chilly night is on the way as lows fall back into the upper 30s to around 40.
The upcoming week looks dry with sunshine as the ridge of high pressure just to the west of the Ohio River Valley builds in. Day time highs will run mainly in the lower 70s and night time lows falling back into the mid 40s to around 50.
