Foggy forecast for first full fall day

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

The first night of the new season will feature typically cool temperatures and with clear skies and calm winds - fog will likely form again. In fact, fog probably gets thick and reduces visibilities to below 1/4 mile in spots (mainly between 4- 8 AM).

During the day Thursday, sunshine will mix with clouds and make for a beautiful sky. Air flow will start to turn in from the north and northeast and this will allow for a cool-down to commence. Temperatures still end up mild for early autumn tomorrow but a few degrees cooler than today.

The cooler air and brisk breeze continues Friday with mostly sunny skies (some thin clouds) and highs only near 70. The weekend still looks like a classic early autumn weekend and a great one to take in the Big E! With sunshine mixed with clouds, highs both days stay near 70 degrees.
