SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A pleasant day is on tap to close out the weekend as high pressure slides off to the east. This will allow a area of low pressure to the south to approach the region and bring the chance for a few showers on Monday.
After a chilly start this morning we will see temperatures recover nicely under mostly sunny skies. Highs today will top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s. We will see clouds start to increase tonight but with any luck the thicker clouds will hold off until after the lunar eclipse and supermoon late this evening. There could also be some patchy fog overnight with lows in the lower 50s.
Monday will feature mainly cloudy skies though there will be some breaks of sun. It will also feel more humid on Monday and Tuesday and there is the chance for a few scattered showers. Highs top out in the lower 70s. A cold front moving through on Tuesday could bring some more showers to the region with highs in the middle 70s.
