SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - It was another beautiful weekend as our stretch of sunny and dry weather continued. Unfortunately it looks like that stretch is about to come to an end as a more unsettled weather pattern takes hold.
We will see clouds start to increase tonight but with any luck the thicker clouds will hold off until after the lunar eclipse and supermoon late this evening. There could also be some patchy fog overnight with lows in the lower 50s so it will not be anywhere near as chilly as it was last night.
Monday will feature mainly cloudy skies though there will be some breaks of sun. It will also feel more humid on Monday and Tuesday and there is the chance for a few scattered showers. Highs top out in the lower 70s. A cold front moving through on Tuesday could bring more substantial showers to the region with highs in the middle 70s. Showers could even linger into Wednesday with highs falling back to around 70.
Our break from the rain could be rather brief as some computer models bring a coastal area of low pressure near the New England region as we head into next weekend. This cold bring a soaking, windswept rain with it but we are several days away and lots can change during the week. Stay tuned.
