SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

The South Hadley Police and Fire Department organized a charity softball game on Sunday to benefit Luke Bradley.

The 10-year-old, who is from South Hadley, is being treated for leukemia.

"Their son, Luke Bradley, has been ongoing some treatment in Boston for leukemia and also meningitis. It's a steep road to recovery, but he's getting there slowly but surely," said Ray Hebert from the South Hadley Police Department.

The Department sold tickets before and at the game for $5.

"The Police Department and Fire Department represented helping out another family in need in the community. I think that alone speaks volumes," said Herbert.
