SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Clouds have been hanging tough as a cold front is slowly moving through the region. Conditions will continue to improve during the overnight.
Skies will clear out tonight as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west. Winds will diminish tonight and with clear skies and light winds temperatures will drop quickly and lows overnight drop back into the upper 20s and lower 30s. As high pressure continues to build in on Monday we can expect plenty of sunshine but highs will only top out in the lower 50s. Clear skies continue into Monday night and another cold night is on the way as lows fall back into the middle to upper 20s.
The cool, dry air mass will keep its hold on the region through Tuesday followed by a good soaking on Wednesday which could last into Thursday. (Most of us, especially south of the Pike into Connecticut need the rain).
