SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Temperatures managed to make it to 60 this afternoon, slightly above normal for this time of year. Hang on though as we have a nice warming trend headed our way and it sticks around through the week.
Expect partly cloudy skies tonight with lows dropping back into the upper 30s to around 40. The first week of November is looking unseasonably mild and dry thanks to the jet stream lifting to the north and a ridge of high pressure parked off shore. Temperatures in the 60s early week will rise to near 70 by Wednesday and Thursday!
In addition to the above normal temperatures much of the week is looking dry as well. In fact our next chance for rain looks like it will come on Friday but even then we will still be talking about high temperatures in the upper 60s to around 70. By next weekend though it looks like it will cool back down to more seasonable levels.
