Family of Joshua Devine not giving up

Posted: Updated:

While not much progress has been made these past few months, Joshua's family says they think about him every single day and can't wait to see his smiling face again.

Joshua Devine disappeared on April 11th on a boating trip in Thailand with his wife.

"I've just been trying to accept the way things are right now. And just accept the way things are done over there," said Joshua's sister Jen Bakowski.
When Joshua was 18, he joined the army. He came back but then 9/11 happened.

"Josh is a born soldier. He's awesome at detail, instructions, making things better. When he saw his country being attacked, that was completely unacceptable."

He re-enlisted in the National Guard.

"Next thing I know, he goes 'Mom, I'm joining the National Guard". I said, "Why would you want to do that?" He said "I can't sit by. There's something I can do and I want to do it," said Joshua's mother Marie Major.

The mystery still remains of exactly what happened that early morning. Crews spent a week searching the water and surrounding islands, but nothing turned up.

"He's very smart which obviously makes him very opinionated because he's so smart. He's a genuinely kind person. He will find the good in anyone."

His sister and mother are certain Josh is still alive and say they'll never give up looking for him.
