SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Today certainly was a much more comfortable day as temperatures made it into the mid to upper 50s and it looks just as mild tomorrow. Skies become partly cloudy tonight but it will not be a chilly as last night with lows in the mid to upper 30s.
High pressure remains in control to start the work week. Monday will once again feature mostly sunny skies and it will be slightly warmer than today with highs in the mid to upper 50s. It's not out the question that we see a few spots touch 60 tomorrow afternoon. A back door cold front brings a brief cool down for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. The milder air returns to close out the week but also brings the chance for showers on Thursday and Friday.
The Jet Stream will continue driving storms into the Great Lakes region for the next two weeks. This means temperatures will generally remain above average along the east coast. We'll have pulses of cold that last a day or two in between after the passage of a cold front. The end of the month near or after Thanksgiving may get stormy.
