Wow, what a great afternoon across all of western Mass. Temperatures are comfortably in the 50s with a slight north wind, but most importantly, lots of sun.
Overnight we received over an inch of rain from the cold front that moved through. This should make a dent in our drought situation, but with hardly any rain in the forecast for the next week, only a slight dent at best.
With clear skies, diminishing winds and a cooler air mass in place, it will be clear and chilly overnight with temperatures falling into the 20s. Tomorrow will feature more sunshine and pleasant seasonable conditions. It will be a cold start but readings will approach 50 in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, a cold front with some energy will move through the area on Sunday morning with a few rain showers. Behind this front, a cold blast of air arrives Sunday night and Monday. Temperatures on Monday will struggle to reach 40 during the afternoon. It will be breezy as well, adding to the chill.
The chill doesn't last long. We moderate nicely, with dry conditions in time for travel day Wednesday and Thanksgiving! The early call for Thanksgiving is sunshine with highs into the 50s!
