SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - After a sunny and seasonable afternoon we will see a chance for showers overnight into tomorrow morning as a cold front approaches. Behind the front expect below normal temperatures early in the week before a warm up just in time for Thanksgiving.
Clouds increase tonight in advance of a cold front. The evening is dry but there is the chance for a few showers during the overnight with lows dropping back into the lower to middle 30s. That cold front will move through the area on Sunday morning with a few rain showers. Behind this front, a cold blast of air arrives Sunday night and Monday. Temperatures on Monday will struggle to reach 40 during the afternoon. It will be breezy as well, adding to the chill.
The chill doesn't last long! We moderate nicely, with dry conditions in time for travel day Wednesday and Thanksgiving! The early call for Thanksgiving is sunshine with highs into the 50s!
