What a fantastic Thanksgiving for nearly all of New England. Here in Western Mass, we had our temperatures rise to the mid 50s this afternoon under partly to mostly cloudy skies. We'll keep some clouds in the forecast overnight. Those clouds will act as blanket and keep our temperatures from falling into the 20s or 30s like we've seen earlier this week.
The area of high pressure that is moving away will continue to influence our weather with dry conditions Friday and our wind turns more southwesterly. Great news for the parade of big balloons on Main St. in Springfield. Temperatures will rise into the low 50s by 11 am for all the festivities. We may reach 60! (record high for the date is 62, set in 1946)
A cold front arrives early Saturday morning, bringing with it a chance of showers in the morning and early afternoon. We'll probably see our high for the day around midnight Saturday as temperatures fall throughout the day. Afternoon highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 40s.
Behind the cold front, we dry out through Sunday and Monday with temperatures in the mid 40s under partly to mostly sunny skies.
