SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - After a seasonable afternoon a cold night is on the way as a ridge of high pressure is building in to the region. Temperatures will run slightly below normal on Monday before a storm system brings the chance for rain Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Temperatures will drop off quickly after sunset as clear skies and light winds will set the stage for radiational cooling to take place. Low temperatures will drop back into the lower 20s overnight. Dress warm if you are heading out tonight and you will want to bundle the kids up as you get them out to the bus stop tomorrow morning.
Monday is going to be the coolest day of the week as even though we will enjoy mostly sunny skies temperatures will only rise into the upper 30s and lower 40s. Our next chance for rain arrives Tuesday afternoon and continues into Wednesday before we dry back out to close out the week.
