This afternoon will remain gray and damp with periods of rain and areas of fog. The rain will continue into the evening before winding down later this evening. By the time the rain comes to an end we'll pick up about 1/2 to 1" of rainfall. Although it's chilly at least we don't have to deal with any icing. Temperatures will creep into the 40s.
The main area of low pressure is moving into eastern Canada sending wave of moisture our way. As this storm intensifies and moves away tonight into tomorrow, the winds will pick up and become gusty out of the northwest as things dry out. With drier air working in for tomorrow clouds will break to some sunshine. It will be windy though with gust up to 30 mph. The gusty winds could lead to a few isolated power outages, especially across the higher terrain.
Great news! Starting Friday a large area of high pressure will anchor itself across the eastern half of the country. This will bring us a fine stretch of weather with sunny skies and moderating temperatures through the weekend and into the start of next week. Although nights will be chilly daytime highs will reach near 50 or even into the 50s Friday through Monday! The first weekend of December is looking beautiful!
