SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The fog we saw earlier this morning has lifted and we should see some sunshine by this afternoon with just a slight chance of a sprinkle or even a flurry mainly in parts of Berkshire and Franklin counties.
Winds are going to pick up as we go through the morning and this afternoon. We could see northwesterly winds gusting to over 40 mph at times. The gusty winds could lead to a few isolated power outages, especially across the higher terrain. Highs today top out in the lower 40s. There will still be a bit of a breeze around tonight with northwesterly winds between 10-15 mph. Lows tonight drop back into the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies.
Great news! Starting Friday a large area of high pressure will anchor itself across the eastern half of the country. This will bring us a fine stretch of weather with sunny skies and moderating temperatures through the weekend and into the start of next week.
