SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - After a rather windy day yesterday winds will be a bit lighter this afternoon. High pressure over the nation's heartland is moving in over the next few days to provide tranquil weather right through the weekend.
Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds with seasonable temperatures today. Winds will not be as strong as they were yesterday and temperatures top out in the low to middle 40s this afternoon. Under partly cloudy skies and light winds tonight temperatures drop back into the mid to upper 20s.
The weekend looks spectacular. We will see mostly sunny skies each day with temperatures rising into the lower 50s on Saturday and into the middle 50s on Sunday. We're dry through Tuesday and then we'll be watching a possible coastal storm Wednesday. We could be in for another round of cool, showery weather but that is not set in stone as the models are still having a tough time with this storm. We will keep an eye on it as we go through the next couple of days.
