It was an absolutely beautiful Saturday! High temperatures topped off in the lower 60s with sunshine! What a day! I hope you had a chance to go out and enjoy it.
Today will be a bit cooler with more clouds but still above normal for this time of year as temperatures reach into the low mid 50s. (Normal is about 38-40)
A cold front will arrive late tomorrow. Out ahead of this front the southerly flow will increases. The squeeze of mild air will cause winds to become gusty late tomorrow. As this front draws closer showers will develop Monday evening into Monday night. The rain may be heavy at times briefly and there may even be a rumble of thunder. We need the rain as we remain in an abnormally dry period for western Mass. We could pick up about a half an inch or so.
Clouds may linger into Tuesday morning but as this storm moves out it will still be mild. There's not much cool air behind this system. This means we can expect more 50+ degree readings through the middle of the week.Tuesday will be mild and windy so hang onto your hat.
After Monday, our next chance for rain will be Thursday evening as another front approaches.
We will finally cool down on Friday and much more seasonable conditions will arrive for next weekend with highs in the 30s. However, this cool down may not last long. There are some signs that we warm back up the following week!
