If you crave chilly and snowy weather, the past week might be a bit disappointing for you. But some people in Western Massachusetts are really enjoying the milder weather.
Forest Park is usually a winter wonderland in December but today, it's host to a variety of warm weather activities.
"Rain, shine or snow it doesn't matter, we are here," said Luis Allande.
Allande and his family usually play football this time of year but because it's so nice out they're swinging their softball bats.
"It helps the kids anyways, the grand kids, the nephews, it helps them to stay out of trouble," said Allande.
Others are taking walks without the risk of slipping on snow or ice.
"I think last year we had snow this time of year," said Bobby Daniels. "We need more days like this".
There's an old saying that if you don't like the weather in New England, wait five minutes. But for now, many are soaking up the warmth for as long as they can.
"It was nice to put out my Christmas decorations without freezing and seeing kids playing in the park," said Kathleen O'Keefe.
