Highs topped off in the lower 50s today with overcast conditions across all of western Mass. We hang on to the clouds overnight and only fall to the mid 40s for a low.
Temperatures will rise in to the mid 50s tomorrow with a southerly wind in the afternoon. Showers may be present in the afternoon, but the big bulk of rain arrives after dinner and in to early Tuesday. The rain will become heavy at times and there may even be a rumble of thunder. We need the rain as we remain in an abnormally dry period for western Mass. We could pick up about a half an inch to an inch of rain or so.
Clouds may linger into Tuesday morning but as this storm moves out it will still be mild. There's not much cool air behind this system. This means we can expect more 50+ degree readings through the middle of the week.
After Monday, our next chance for rain will be Thursday evening.
We will finally cool down on Friday and much more seasonable conditions will arrive for next weekend with highs in the 30s.
