Ribbon-cutting held for Westfield's Senior Center

Posted: Updated:

A ribbon cutting for Westfield's new senior center was held on Sunday.

The new facility, located on Noble Street, cost $7.5 million.

"It's exciting for the residents of the city of Westfield. We're really proud of the building. It was along time coming," said Executive Director Tina Gorman.

Gorman says the facility is a huge upgrade. The old senior center was 5400 sq ft. The new one is 20,000.

Staff members have their own offices and there are also individual rooms for all of the programs.
