We'll ring in Winter tonight at 11:49 PM, though our temperatures won't be reflective of what you'd think of Winter.
Tonight we'll drop in to the upper 30s to low 40s under overcast skies. Tuesday features off and on showers during the morning and afternoon with highs topping out in the mid 50s.
We will deal with a few more bouts of rain over Wednesday and Thursday, with totals topping an inch to possibly two inches by the time we reach Christmas.
The jet stream will lift into Canada as another ridge builds across the eastern U.S. and this will help bring in the warmth! In fact, as Santa arrives temperatures may climb into the 60s on Christmas Eve and to near 60 on Christmas Day!
While you may have hoped for a white Christmas, at this point, it's not going to happen. Our temperatures remain well above average for the next week to ten days. That being said, because we haven't completely frozen over yet, lawns have kept some of their color - leading to a green Christmas instead of a brown Christmas.
We hold on to this mild pattern through the end of 2015.
