Merry Christmas! Good thing Santa had Rudolph guiding his sleigh last night! There are areas of dense fog out there to greet you this morning. BUT another mild day is on the way! Spring was in the air yesterday! We shattered the record at Westover A.R.B. We topped off at 66° breaking the previous record of 58° set back in 1990. Not only was it warm, but it was a bit muggy as well. Dew points were running in the low 60s, so it even felt humid as you stepped outside.
Christmas is looking beautiful! After the fog dissipates we'll see a mix of sunshine and clouds with temps reaching close to 60. The record high for today is 63.
Saturday is looking a cooler with clouds a bit of sun. Another wave of low pressure will move our way for Sunday and with it will come the milder temps once again. Readings will be reach into the 50s.
Howeve,r we turn much colder for next week! Along with that some moisture will be moving up the coast. This could set us up for our first winter storm of the season! As of now, the system looks to arrive Monday night; initially as snow then it will likely change to sleet and freezing rain. We will certainly fine tune to this forecast over the weekend. It looks as though we may see a couple of inches of snow by Tuesday morning followed by a sleet then some freezing rain. Stay tuned. We will certainly have more as we draw closer to it.
