SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - High pressure is delivering some sun today though clouds will increase as the day progresses. Rain moves in late tonight and will continue into Sunday but temperatures will continue to run above normal.
Expect morning sunshine giving way to increasing clouds this afternoon. Highs today top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Skies become mostly cloudy tonight with rain showers moving in. Lows tonight fall into the upper 30s to around 40. Rain will continue into Sunday with highs topping out in the lower 50s.
A shot of seasonally cold air will move in to start the new work week. At the same time, a storm will gather over the southern plains and move northeastward. A strong warm front with a return push of mild air will bring in a round of snow Monday night changing to sleet and freezing rain by Tuesday morning. The changeover will occur south to north through the valley. Stay tuned this weekend and on Monday for important updates on this storm.
