Clouds and areas of fog will give way to some sunshine this morning with temperatures reaching into the lower 40s by this afternoon. December will finish off with readings above normal which is fitting since it will go down as the warmest December on record. Temperatures this afternoon will reach into the lower 40's as a breeze picks up out of the northwest.
It will be breezy and chilly as we ring in the new year however it will be dry and still temperatures wont be too bad as readings fall into the mid to upper 20s by morning.
The new year will start off dry and seasonable with temperatures in the 30s tomorrow and through the weekend. We are not expecting any storminess through the first week of 2016. In fact, after a chilly start to the year there are some signs that temperatures may moderate by the middle of next week as another ridges builds in across the eastern half of the country.
