SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Clouds will continue to thicken up as we head into this evening with some areas of drizzle possible. Later this evening, as temperatures drop below freezing, there could be some patchy freezing drizzle developing making for a few icy spots. We are not expecting a ton of moisture but just enough to make things a bit slick. Certainly use extra caution if you are out and about tonight and tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will stay cloudy and chilly with some morning, patchy freezing drizzle and maybe even a snowflake. Most of the day will remain dry with the main event arriving on Sunday.
A developing area of low pressure across the Rocky Mountain states will zip east then move into the Great Lakes States by Sunday morning. This will bring lots of rain and warmth up in our direction for Sunday. Rain will move in early Sunday morning and will be heavy at times. It will become windy and mild too with temperatures reaching into the lower 50s. There may even be a rumble of thunder. It looks as though most of us will pick up a solid inch of rain by the time it comes to an end Sunday evening.
