One of the charges against former Chicopee Mayor Michael Bissonnette in connection with an alleged confrontation with a Chicopee police lieutenant has been dismissed.
In late December, Bissonnette asked that all six charges against him, stemming from a September 8th primary day altercation with police Lieutenant John Pronovost be dropped.
Associate Justice Thomas Estes today dismissed the intimidation of a witness charge. Bissonnette is still charged with threatening a police officer and assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct at a polling place, disorderly conduct and bringing campaign material within 150 feet of a poll. The judge also ruled that transferring the case to Westfield District Court was appropriate.
Hearing dates in the case are set for January 20th and February 4th.
