SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Clouds will be on the increase this afternoon as a coastal storm passes to our south and east. A cold front moving through tonight could bring a few snow showers or a snow squall into tomorrow morning. Much colder air moves in to begin the new work week.
Some sun this morning will give way to increasing afternoon clouds. Today is dry but also slightly colder than yesterday as highs top out in the lower 30s. A cold front moves through the region tonight and that could bring a few snow showers or snow squall overnight. Lows tonight drop back into the mid to upper teens.
The chance for a snow squall could linger into the Monday morning commute. Not all areas will see a snow squall but those that do could see a quick coating to an inch of snow in a very short period of time, which could make for slippery travel conditions. Much colder air moves in for Monday and Tuesday with daytime highs in the low to middle 20s and night time lows in the upper single digits to lower teens. Not only will we be dealing with the cold but it will be quite windy which means wind chills in the lower single digits to below zero.
