SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A cold front moving through the region tonight will bring the chance for a few snow showers and possibly a heavier snow squall. Behind the front much colder in moves in for Monday and Tuesday.
Expect cloudy skies this evening with the chance for snow showers developing, mainly after midnight. There is also the chance that some areas could see a heavier snow shower or snow squall. Any snow squalls could cause slippery travel conditions and reduced visibility. Lows tonight drop back into the upper teens to around 20.
The chance for a snow shower or snow squall could linger into the Monday morning commute, which could lead to some slippery spots. Much colder air moves in for Monday and Tuesday with daytime highs in the low to middle 20s and night time lows in the upper single digits to lower teens. Not only will we be dealing with the cold but it will be quite windy which means wind chills in the lower single digits to below zero.
