High pressure is responsible for our beautiful Friday, but the dry air associated with this system may keep flakes from accumulating in western Ma tomorrow.
The track has trended a bit to the south which means we escape even moderate snowfall totals. Franklin county and the northern Berkshires of western MA are likely only to receive a dusting or flurries due to this shift south in the storm track. The dry air just to our north gets drawn into our area as the storm pulls it in with a northerly wind. The greater Springfield area is more likely to see an inch or two with more accumulation to the south through CT. Be shovel ready, but you may be able to get away using your leaf blower. Some big snowfall totals of 1-3 feet will slam the mid - Atlantic for a crippling snow event.
Snow develops Saturday afternoon. It's done here prior to sunrise Sunday and we should enjoy a sunny and breezy day.
