SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - For those parts of the area that needed to do a little snow removal it was not a bad day at all. Plenty of sunshine and temperatures rising into the mid to upper 30s were certainly welcome. It looks like temperatures will actually get a bit milder early this week.
As a weak upper level shortwave pushes through the region this evening skies will start out mostly cloudy. Overnight clearing will take place as high pressure moves closer to the region. Another cold night is on the way though will low temperatures dropping back into the mid to upper teens.
Slightly milder air moves in to start the new work week. Temperatures will top out in the upper 30s to around 40 on Monday and highs on Tuesday will top out in the lower 40s in some areas. Keep in mind the average high for this time of year is in the upper 20s so we will see temperatures running some 10 degrees above normal. There is the chance for a few showers on Tuesday afternoon as a cold front moves through.
