First Warning

It's a quiet start to the workweek

Posted: Updated:

Temperatures most of this week will average at or above normal levels for this time of year. (Normal high 32) Although we're in the heart of winter we are not expecting any mid-winter cold for the next several days. The next chance for snow will be Thursday night into Friday.

This afternoon will feature a fair amount of sunshine with temperatures reaching into the upper 30s to near 40.  A weak system will move our way tomorrow evening. Out ahead of it our flow will turn into the southwest as it becomes windy as temperatures moderate into the low to mid 40s by tomorrow afternoon. We may see a few showers tomorrow evening but this time around it will be rain showers and we're not expecting much. Colder air will move in behind this system for the middle of the week but even still temperatures will reach into the 30s.

An ocean storm will develop just off shore on Thursday and will make a close path to us Thursday night into Friday. Right now it looks as though it will stay far enough to the east to keep us dry but it will be end a close call so stay tuned. At this point we are not expecting much more than a flurries or light snow Thursday night into Friday morning.
