It's not as cold this morning but it is rather cloudy. We may see a bit of sunshine today but skies today will be mainly cloudy as an upper level system moves through. It will bring snow and rain showers through western Mass this afternoon. However the lack of moisture along with surface temperatures in the mid to upper-30s will prevent any accumulation, at least in the valley. There may be a coating or so across the hills and higher terrain.
There's another chance for a flurry or two tomorrow night as another weak system moves through. This frontal system will bring milder temperatures starting Sunday and lasting through the middle of the week. Temperatures will average 15-25 degrees above normal putting highs near 50 or even into the 50s for four days What a way to start February.
Through the weekend and into the start of next week most of the time it will remain dry. There main be a sprinkle or light shower Monday afternoon as weak frontal passage takes place but any heavy rain will hold off until Wednesday. This is when a strong cold front will move through. Out ahead of the front it will turn windy and very mild! There will likely be heavy downpours and maybe even a thunderstorm as the system moves through. We will slowly go back to more seasonable temperatures behind the front as colder air drains in.
