What a weekend! Spring was in the air with temperatures reaching the low 60s on Saturday and the 50s Sunday. Now, winter wants to return again. as well!
We're tracking a big storm for the middle of the week but it's going to be mainly a wind, swept RAIN! as this next system will be an "inside runner," tracking well to our west, bringing in not only rain but mild temperatures and gusty winds for late Wednesday into Thursday.
HOWEVER, a weaker low pressure system, will move in as 'round one' and arrive tomorrow evening with light snow changing to light freezing rain and freezing drizzle. We're not expecting a lot of wintry accumulation, but there is concern for Wednesday morning's commute with potential for icy conditions.
After our icy start Wednesday, spotty light rain and drizzle becomes a steadier rain by evening on Wednesday as temperatures slowly rise. Heavy rain will arrive Wednesday night and there could even be a rumble of thunder. Wind speeds will increase overnight and may become damaging. Be ready for a power outage early Thursday just in case. Rain will end Thursday morning with gusty wind and spring-like air in place. Readings will make a run at 60 Thursday before cooler air returns later in the week!
