Clouds will give way to sunshine as cold air comes rushing in behind the storm that brought this morning's rain. Winds will be gusty out of the northwest too! In fact, A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4pm for the hill towns and the Berkshires. Winds could gust over 40mph at times this afternoon. Scattered wind damage is likely. Temperatures will fall through the 30s this afternoon. Although the sun will come out the feel of winter will be in the air as wind chills fall into the teens and 20's.
Skies will clear out tonight and a breezy, cold night is on the way as temperatures will drop back into the mid teens. The wind chills will be headed to the single numbers tonight and will hover near zero by tomorrow morning. We can expect a mostly sunny, breezy and chilly day on Thursday with highs in the lower 30s but when you factor in the breeze it will feel like it is in the teens much of the day.
The polar air mass stays with us into Friday just as an area of low pressure slide to the Carolina coast and explodes into a major storm! However, it still looks as though we stay on the northern fringe of this system. We may see snow showers or a touch of light snow Friday morning but the bulk of this storm will still pass to our southeast. Southeastern Mass, the Cape and Island have the best chance of seeing accumulating snow! It will be a close call so stay tuned!
